Logan Pass Luminosity - 11" x 14" Giclee Fine Art Print
“Logan Pass Luminosity” Glacier National Park Archival Quality Reproduction of Original Painting
This is not just a painting; the moment is imprinted in my memory forever. This absolutely spectacular view was a sight to behold. We woke up at 3:30 am on a cool August morning, and groggily loaded into the car. After a long, pitch black drive along Going-to-the-Sun Road, we were greeted with a quiet parking lot at Logan Pass. Our plan was to spend the entire day hiking the Highline trail to Grinnell Glacier Overlook, Granite Park Chalet, and all the way back (about twenty miles in total.) Backpacks on, we were ready to go, only to be halted by the most ethereal sunrise I have ever witnessed in my life. This one was different. It looked and felt like how music sounds, slowly blanketing the earth in golden glow. In the opposite direction, a sunrise rainbow was cast onto the clouds. The wildflowers glistened with morning dew. Everything about this scene was something you could only imagine in a dream. I’m truly grateful to have just had the privilege of being there, present in that moment, fully in awe.

We had the perfect start to our twenty mile day. The Highline is a phenomenal trail, and I guarantee the views are worth the foot pain. We were constantly infatuated with wildflowers, wildlife (even hummingbirds!), and spectacular views the whole way. At the top of Grinnell Glacier overlook, we were literally standing on the continental divide and saw the separation of watershed. Eventually we almost got tired of saying “Woah! Look at that!”, but there really aren’t enough words to describe the continuous beauty of Glacier National Park.
